Top Litigator Joins Kendall Brill & Klieger As Partner

January 10, 2011 (Los Angeles, California) — Kendall Brill & Klieger LLP has announced that Bert Deixler, a senior litigation partner and former managing partner of the LA office of Proskauer Rose, has joined the firm as a partner.

Deixler adds his extensive experience as a trial lawyer in major commercial litigation matters, as well as representation of clients in the entertainment industry, to KBK’s strong practices in these fields. Drawing upon his experience as a former federal prosecutor, Bert will continue to represent clients in numerous industries in connection with complex white-collar criminal matters, often involving parallel civil, regulatory and criminal actions. Bert will also continue his representation of lawyers and law firms.

“I am excited at the opportunity to participate in building a unique, elite litigation firm with colleagues who are extraordinary lawyers and great, fun people.” Deixler said. “I am particularly grateful that the firm’s strong commitment to public service and pro bono work will allow me to spend time in providing access to justice to those who require it but cannot afford to pay for it. This will be a great next chapter in a career filled with personal and professional highlights.”

Richard Kendall, who founded Kendall Brill & Klieger a year and a half ago with partners Laura Brill and Rob Klieger, said of Deixler: “Bert is one of the best trial lawyers I know and has been a friend for more than 30 years. His commitment to excellence and his devotion to public service make him a perfect fit for the firm.”

Kendall Brill & Klieger also announced that Phil Kelly, formerly an associate of the firm, has been elected to the partnership. Phil’s practice focuses on entertainment and complex commercial litigation matters.

Kendall Brill & Klieger was founded in Los Angeles in May 2009 and in that short time the firm’s practice has grown dramatically based on referrals from existing clients and prominent lawyers throughout the country. Kendall said: “The support from clients and our colleagues at the bar as we embarked on this adventure has been extremely gratifying. We intend to repay that support year after year with a firm known for the highest quality of private and public advocacy.”
