Represent a prominent music corporation’s recording and publishing entities in copyright infringement litigations against video-hosting websites. Issues involved include the scope, interpretation, and applicability of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act’s safe harbors.

Viacom v. YouTube: Filed an amicus brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on behalf of a group of legal and economics scholars from Harvard, Yale, Columbia, the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, the University of Texas, and Fordham University in this Digital Millennium Copyright Act case.

Assisted in drafting objections to both the original and revised versions of the proposed class-action settlement agreement in long-running copyright infringement litigation concerning Google’s book scanning project.  Legal issues involved copyright, antitrust, and class action law.
